I am very glad to have discovered Dr. Gold’s new course on vision “Bright Eyes.” For me, it is something of a rediscovery. About twenty years ago I took a class in how to improve one’s vision. Did it work? Yes, I discovered I could read without my glasses. I had been wearing glasses for nearsightedness since I was twelve (I was then in my fifties), and I could not imagine seeing without them. Then with the course, I went on a voyage of discovery to find out what my eyes could actually do and see. One of the first things I remember happening is being in a supermarket with my husband at the opposite end. And—without my glasses—I SAW HIM AND WAVED. He was stunned, I was elated. Then I tried reading a page or two and found that I could comfortably read without glasses.

But after twenty years, I was in need of a refresher course. I had gotten a bit lazy about exercising my eyes. I wanted to keep my eyes in good shape, but I needed a push. “Bright Eyes” was just the ticket to get me back on track. Exercises like tracing the Figure 8, and using an eye chart to continually monitor the lowest line you can see, are simple yet powerful tools. The 20-20-20 rule—where you look away from your screen every 20 minutes for 20 seconds, looking 20 feet away—is an especially valuable practice in relaxing your eyes and keeping them in tip top shape.

Do eye exercises work for everyone? To some extent yes. Will there be a dramatic change in your vision? Maybe, maybe not. Everyone is different. Although I still read without glasses, I need them for distance, and I am very grateful that such devices exist. And I make sure I get regular checkups with my eye doctor.

Meet Dr. Tanya Gold

Dr. Tanya Gold is board certified Family Medicine and Holistic Medicine, with over 25 years of experience. To further her mission of bringing more light into the world, she became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), and a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader.

Her passion for eye health is deeply personal.

Years ago, Dr. Gold contracted Lyme disease and developed uveitis, a serious and painful inflammatory eye condition that threatened her vision and affected her quality of life. Faced with her own health crisis, she combined the best of conventional medicine with natural therapies, lifestyle medicine, nutrition, stress reduction, restorative practices, and targeted eye exercises to support her healing journey.

Through these integrative approaches, she was able to improve her eye health, reduce her dependence on ongoing conventional medications, and restore her confidence in her vision and overall well-being.

That experience inspired her to create BRIGHT EYES® — a comprehensive natural eye health program designed to help people support healthy vision, reduce eye strain, improve visual comfort, and protect their eyes in today's screen-focused world.

As a physician who specializes in helping people address root causes rather than simply managing symptoms, Dr. Gold's mission is to help individuals achieve lasting wellness with the fewest possible side effects. Throughout her career, she has helped 1000's of patients improve their health naturally and reduce reliance on many chronic medications through healthy lifestyle changes and personalized wellness strategies.

Drawing from her medical training, holistic medicine expertise, yoga background, and passion for teaching, Dr. Gold incorporates eye exercises, relaxation techniques, healthy lifestyle habits, nutrition, mindset training, facial yoga-inspired movements, and practical wellness strategies into her programs. Most importantly, she believes that the human body has an incredible capacity to heal when given the proper support.

Her message is simple:

Your eyes are meant to shine.

And with knowledge, consistency, and the right tools, you can take meaningful steps toward supporting your vision, your health, and your future. 💜✨👁️

Bright Eyes – Frequently Asked Questions

What is Bright Eyes?

Bright Eyes is a comprehensive eye wellness program designed to help you reduce eye strain, relieve tired eyes, support healthy vision, and develop daily habits that promote long-term eye comfort. It combines evidence-based education, practical exercises, lifestyle strategies, nutrition, stress management, and facial relaxation techniques into one easy-to-follow program.

Who is this course for?

Bright Eyes is ideal for adults who:

- Experience eye strain or tired eyes

- Spend hours on computers, tablets, or phones

- Have dry or irritated eyes

- Have begun needing reading glasses

- Want to support healthy vision naturally

- Want to take a proactive approach to eye health

Can this course improve my vision?

Many participants report that their eyes feel more comfortable, relaxed, and less fatigued. While healthy habits may support visual function and eye comfort, results vary from person to person. Bright Eyes is designed to complement—not replace—regular eye care and should not be considered a treatment or cure for eye disease.

Will this help me stop wearing glasses?

Bright Eyes does not promise that you will no longer need glasses. Glasses correct refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and age-related changes like presbyopia. However, many people find that reducing eye strain, improving visual habits, and supporting overall eye health helps their eyes feel more comfortable during daily activities.

I’m over 40. Is it too late?

Absolutely not! Although age-related changes such as presbyopia are common, it’s never too late to develop healthier visual habits. Just as improving your diet and exercise benefits your body at any age, supporting your eyes through healthy daily routines can improve comfort and overall eye wellness.

I’ve just started needing reading glasses. Can this course still help?

Yes. Bright Eyes focuses on supporting eye comfort, reducing fatigue, improving visual habits, and promoting healthy aging of the eyes. While it does not reverse normal aging, many people appreciate learning practical strategies that help them feel more confident and comfortable.

I work on a computer all day. Is this course for me?

Definitely. Screen use is one of the leading causes of digital eye strain. Bright Eyes teaches simple techniques to help reduce fatigue, encourage healthier screen habits, improve blinking, relax focusing muscles, and support overall eye comfort.

How much time does the course require?

Most lessons are brief and practical. Many daily exercises take only a few minutes, making them easy to incorporate into your routine.

What topics are covered?

The course includes:

- Understanding eye health

- Digital eye strain

- Daily eye exercises

- Relaxation techniques

- Healthy screen habits

- Nutrition for healthy eyes

- Sleep and recovery

- Stress reduction

- Lifestyle habits that support eye wellness

- Facial yoga and massage techniques (BONUS)e course includes:

Are the eye exercises difficult?

Not at all. The exercises are gentle, beginner-friendly, and designed for people of all fitness and experience levels.

What makes Bright Eyes different?

Bright Eyes takes a whole-person approach. Instead of focusing on just one aspect of vision, it addresses multiple factors that influence eye comfort, including screen habits, nutrition, movement, stress, sleep, hydration, and healthy daily routines.

Is there scientific research behind the course?

Yes. Bright Eyes incorporates evidence-based recommendations from vision science, lifestyle medicine, nutrition, and digital eye strain research. The course also distinguishes between established scientific evidence and emerging areas of research.

This course appropriate if I already have an eye disease?

Bright Eyes may provide helpful wellness strategies, but it is not a substitute for professional eye care. If you have glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal disease, cataracts, severe dry eye, or another eye condition, continue working closely with your eye care professional.

Can I do this if I wear contact lenses?

Yes. The techniques and lifestyle strategies can be beneficial for many contact lens wearers, particularly those experiencing dryness or digital eye strain.

Is nutrition discussed?

Yes. You’ll learn about foods and nutrients that support healthy eyes, along with practical ways to incorporate them into your daily lifestyle.

Does stress affect the eyes?

Yes. Stress can contribute to muscle tension, headaches, dry eyes, poor blinking habits, and visual fatigue. Bright Eyes includes relaxation strategies to help support both your eyes and your overall well-being.

Will I have lifetime access?

Yes! Once you enroll, you’ll receive lifetime access to the course, including future updates at no additional cost.

Is there a community?

We will be launching our community soon, so you can feel connected and supported.

Who teaches Bright Eyes?

Dr. Tanya Gold is a board-certified physician in Family Medicine with additional training in holistic and lifestyle medicine, yoga, and laughter yoga. After her own journey with Lyme disease and uveitis, she became passionate about educating others on evidence-based ways to support healthy eyes and overall wellness.

What if I have questions during the course?

We’re here to help! Depending on your enrollment level, you’ll have access to course support, downloadable resources, and opportunities to have your questions answered.

Why should I start now?

Your eyes work hard every day. The sooner you begin supporting them with healthy habits, the sooner you can start reducing unnecessary strain, improving comfort, and investing in your long-term eye wellness.
